How not to get lost - A guest post by Petroc Tallon

I don't know why I let my wife rope me into doing these things, really I don't. There again, she is also one of my bosses and Sheba, our gorgeous Alsatian, is a trained Search and Rescue dog, so I suppose she's right to say I know something about it.

Here's a guide to the basics https://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/8-ways-avoid-getting-lost.html but the most important thing to remember is to be prepared. Look at the weather forecast. Look at your clothes. Look at your skill level. If you're going to a beach, then look at the tide times. Step back and think of all the things that could go wrong and then work out how you'd deal with them and always stay within your capabilities. And then, with any luck, you won't need someone like me and Sheba to have to come and look for you.
