How not to get scammed by fraudsters - A guest post by Mark Graham.

The first thing to say is that fraudsters are clever and plausible. The second thing to say is that they thrive on creating a false urgency that doesn’t give you time to think. My rule of thumb would be that true bureaucracy moves at snail speed and that banks have never sent staff round to your house. So if that changes, then all your alarm bells should start to ring.

This site here will give you useful information. It’s a UK government one, and well worth a look and then, more importantly, it’s well worth talking about with friends and relatives because scammers can be beaten if we are all aware.
